All sorts of things come to mind when you think of Canada, but Maple Syrup tops the list! We've tapped into our roots and are pleased to celebrate the sweet liquid gold at Maplicious on March 18th at the Wolfville Farmers’ Market (8:30am - 1pm). The Wolfville Farmers Market is Celebrating the Seed at their 10th annual Seedy Saturday event on April 22, 2017, 8:30am-1pm. There is good reason to celebrate seeds as they give us so many daily gifts. Our abundant local harvests began with a simple seed planted in the rich valley soil.
Join us for a fun filled Market day full of Seeds, Plants, Art, and more. Kid’s of all ages are invited to an interactive seed game. There is something for everyone, whether you have a green thumb, are just learning or are a seasoned veteran and you have a chance to win a basket of seed goodies! Be sure to bring your seeds to swap at the Community Seed Exchange Table. Everything starts with a seed!
The Wolfville Farmers’ Market invites you to join us on June 10th, 2017 8:30am - 1pm for Fizz ~ the inaugural culture convergence of brewed and fermented beverages and fizzy fermented foods. Ferments can include beer, wine, cider, and probiotic drinks such as kombucha, kefir and Jun tea as well as kimchi, sauerkraut, sourdough and more.
Stop by the Good Food Hub Kitchen at the Market for a Community Culture Swap which features local fermented samples by community members (who will help to answer your fermentation questions). It’s also a place where you can share your extra scobys, kefir grains, sourdough starters and more with others who would like to try their hand at fermenting food and beverages.

You're invited to Tastes of the Market event on Saturday, July 22, 2017 (8:30am-1pm). Tastes of the Market is a culinary celebration of fresh local food where Market chefs use Valley-farmed ingredients to make $4 taste concoctions to tantalize your taste buds.
“Come hungry! This is an event that showcases the Valley in its culinary splendor,” said Kelly Marie Redcliffe, Manager, Wolfville Farmers' Market. “We are in a culinary hub with impressively talented farmers and chefs. When they all work together...it’s marvelous. If you didn’t know it already, buying local is not only possible, it’s very, very tasty!”
“The tastes are a reflection of local and seasonal ingredients sourced directly from farmers and then creatively prepared by Market Chefs. The event truly embraces the idea of Farm to Table: Sustainable food nurtured by growers, picked at the peak of ripeness and then presented in small flavoured packed sample sizes” says event coordinator Angela Melanson.
$4 Taste Tickets are available for purchase at the Market Info Booth or Ticket Booth, where menus, event maps and ballots can also be picked up.
Pumpkins, pumpkins everywhere…on the ground, on display, and yes, even in the food! Join the Wolfville Farmers’ Market this October 14th (8:30am-1pm) for Pumpkin Palooza, a festive market decorated in pumpkins galore. Vote for the vendor with the most eye-bewitching pumpkin sculpture and you could win a pumpkin full of market goodies! Fancy a pumpkin-flavoured treat? Look around the market to see which vendors have squash and pumpkin tastes and fall-themed crafts. Kids can decorate a pumpkin at the Children's Craft Table.
On December 2nd at the Wolfville Farmers’ Market, you will have a chance to win your Christmas wish list while supporting the Wolfville Food Bank. That’s right, Get Un-Scrooged is back once again!
