Solar Energy Project

We are working with a team of students and sponsors to raise funds to install 70 solar panels on the Farmer’s Market. Our goal is to install a 20 kw photovoltaic array which would provide 30% of the Market's electricity, reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 240 metric tonnes over the estimated 25-year operating life of the panels, all the while making the Farmer’s Market even more sustainable. We are inviting donations to help fund the project. If you value solar energy and would like to see it showcased here at the Wolfville Farmer’s Market, you can help.

Love solar power? Here’s how you can show it! Donate a solar panel to the Market, and we’ll have it installed on the roof with 70 others, making the Market even more sustainable.

Solar SuperHero – 1 panel + Installation    $600

Solar Hero – 1 panel delivered – $300

Sunny Friend – ½ panel – $150

Ray of Sunshine – 1/10 panel – $30

We will acknowledge all donations over $10 with a Thank-You letter, and if you wish we will recognize your gift of over $100 in your name (or a friend’s name).

Gift solar panels available for your friends and family.
