The Wolfville Farmers’ Market Community Room

Located centrally in downtown Wolfville off of Elm Ave in a renovated old apple warehouse, the Wolfville Farmers’ Market Community Room was created so that this valuable space could be used on days when there was no Market. The space is ideal for special events, gatherings, conventions, trade shows, work parties, workshops, and coffee houses.

Special Event Liquor Licences:If you wanted to serve alcohol in the Community Room, you would need to apply for a Special Occasion Liquor Licence


Catering: If you are interested in having your event catered, you could get a 10% discount off the space if you used one of our Members.


Parking: The Wolfville Farmers’ Market does not have its own designated parking, but is surrounded by parking opportunities. At all hours their is downtown public parking across the street at the corner of Elm and Front Street. If you rent evenings or weekends there is also parking on the West End of the Market building. The Curling Club Parking lot (between the ATF and the Curling Club) is reserved for the Curling Club.


Accessibility: Accessible doors and washroom. No stairs.


Outdoor Facilities: Five Picnic tables, ten 10*10 foot canopies that can be used on South Side of building, water, 2 power outlets


Indoor Facilities: public washrooms, sinks, triple sink cleaning area, bench seating for 80 plus 20 chairs, 10 tables, 25 power outlets throughout the room, public wifi, 100 square foot stage, use of coffee equipment, plates and cutlery to serve 100, and a sound system:

  • MG124CX -12 channel 4 bus mixer. Aux 1 going to a 50W monitor wedge, the Main outputs are wired to 18 Speakers throughout the DeWolfe building (70V systems). Assembly and market rooms can be controlled separately.
  • One Dynamic Microphone with XLR chord and boom-stand.
  • Stereo audio to 3.5mm jack is provided. This allows any music player that has a 3.5mm jack (standard headphone size) can be played on our system

Rental Costs:

Minimum Rental: 3 hours
Staff: If you're event is not during office hours, and you would like staff assistance beyond the introduction to the space, you will need to pay an additional fee for Market staff to be on on hand throughout the rental.

Rates: All rates subject to HST

Hourly Rate: $35/hour  plus tax;  Daily Rate: $200/day plus tax
Available Discounts:
Not-for-Profits and Contracted Vendors (28% discount)= $25/hour plus tax
Members (50% discount)=$17.50/hour plus tax
Rates effective August 1, 2011-December 28, 2011
