Fizz

The Wolfville Farmers’ Market invites you to join us on June 10th, 2017 (8:30am - 1pm) for Fizz :: a culture convergence of brewed and fermented beverages and fizzy fermented foods. Ferments include beer, wine, cider, and probiotic drinks such as kombucha, kefir and Jun tea as well as kimchi, sauerkraut, sourdough and more. 

Participating Vendors:

Benjamin Bridge Winery: Nova 7 and Tidal Bay
Cove Kombucha: Kombucha Tea
Dr. Kombu: Solas Kombucha with two varieties: Blueberry Kaffir Lime & Ginger (Sold by-the-glass draught & 355ml branded bottles). 
East Coast Farms: Slow-rise Pizza Dough using a Sourdough Technique
Good Robot: Craft Beer
Gourmandises Avenue Chocolaterie: Champagne Champlain truffles with Pomme D'or wine and Castel red wine from Grand Pre Winery. 
Grand Pre Winery: Castel, a rich, dense and deeply pigmented full bodied red wine.
Lightfoot & Wolfville: Bubbly Rosé 2015 (Organic Wine)
Moon Tide Farm: Fermented Rhubarb Pickles, Fermented Rhubarb Soda, Fermented Parsnips, Fermented Acadian Spring Onion & Herbs - & More
New Scotland Candles: Root Beer Float - Soy Candles and Wax Melts
Seven Acres Farm: Variety of sauerkrauts & fermented vegetables (Including: Sauerkraut, Classic Caraway, Cumin Kraut, Leek & Cracked Black Pepper Kraut, Beet Kraut, Curtido, Onion & Juniper Kraut, Rutabaga Kraut, Carrot Ginger Kraut, Spicy Daikon Cubes, Lebanese Turnips, and Fermented Black Radish), Water Kefir, Kombucha, and Kombucha starter kits.
Pickled Pink Traditional Food & Drink: Fizzy-Sweet-Tart Kombuchas, and Kimchis, Sauerkrauts, & Brined Pickles.
Slow Dough Bakery: Slow Rise Breads
Suprima Farms: Cold pressed sweet apple cider (en route to apple cider vinegar)
Taj Mahal Catering: Idli (fermented rice and lentils steamed cake served with Sambar and coconut chutney)

At the Good Food Hub Kitchen:
Expert Fermenter Angela Patterson of Angelhoeve Farm will lead the Community Culture Swap. Bring your ferments to share with the community and extra scobys (Symbiotic Culture of Bacteria & Yeast) to share/swap.

Ann Huntley of Moon Tide Farm will be on site from 10:30am - noon to share information on how to ferment vegetables, talk about Moon Tide Farm’s Fish Fertilizer as well as share info on upcoming fermentation workshops.
